Sr Engineer 3 - Fleet Management (m/f/d)
Job Description Summary
As Sr. Engineer 3 - Fleet Management (m/f/d) , you are responsible for serving as the primary technical point of contact for customers across Europe, ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of Gas Power assets. Working closely with engineering, product support, diagnostics, performance, repair, application, design, project, and service teams, you drive customer satisfaction, improve plant reliability and availability, support new unit commissioning, and minimize technical risk across the installed fleet.
You proactively identify and resolve technical issues, investigate equipment and system anomalies, provide component- and system-level technical assessments, and communicate effective solutions to customers. Additionally, you support outage execution, enhance fleet performance, identify growth opportunities, and uphold product integrity, contributing to improved customer experience, operational excellence, fleet reliability, and business growth.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical contact for assigned European customers and their installed Gas Power fleet.
- Support fleet reliability, availability, and performance through proactive technical issue resolution.
- Manage fleet activities including outage support, service bulletin implementation, fleet configuration, and data maintenance.
- Analyze technical issues and provide engineering solutions using sound technical and analytical expertise.
- Coordinate with Product Support, Monitoring & Diagnostics, Performance, Repair, Application, and Design Engineering teams to drive issue resolution.
- Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions to reduce fleet risk and improve asset reliability.
- Build strong customer relationships and provide regular technical guidance to stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
- Lead technical review meetings, communicate fleet risks, performance trends, and engineering recommendations.
- Provide technical support during planned and unplanned outages to minimize downtime and improve customer experience.
- Support commercial and proposal activities by providing technical expertise to Services, Sales, and Application Engineering teams.
- Provide engineering leadership during new unit commissioning and drive continuous improvements in outage execution and asset performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master of Science in Mechanical, Aerospace or Electrical Engineering.
- Extensive background in the Gas Power sector, with over a decade of industry experience.
- Proven expertise in power plant engineering, field service, customer support, operations, and maintenance, including substantial hands-on experience with HDGT, Steam Turbines, and/or Generators.
- Able to lead Lean transformation.
- Excellent communication/presentation skills.
- Fluent written and spoken skills in English. Other European languages will be an advantage.
